Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada is seeking a hands-on, enthusiastic Experiential Learning Assistant to help deliver our signature capstone programs: JA BizTown and JA Finance Park. You’ll work alongside the Experiential Learning Manager to facilitate simulation days and support students, educators, and volunteers in a fast-paced, immersive environment. This position is part-time and offers the opportunity to impact thousands of local students by helping them develop real-world skills in financial literacy and career readiness.

Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada is seeking a hands-on, enthusiastic Experiential Learning Assistant to help deliver our signature capstone programs: JA BizTown and JA Finance Park. You’ll work alongside the Experiential Learning Manager to facilitate simulation days and support students, educators, and volunteers in a fast-paced, immersive environment.

This position is part-time and offers the opportunity to impact thousands of local students by helping them develop real-world skills in financial literacy and career readiness.

Primary Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Serve as the simulation lead on the microphone, guiding students through their experience.
- Set up and reset the simulation floor daily, ensuring readiness for students and volunteers.
- Support volunteer check-in and morning training.
- Troubleshoot basic tech issues; store and charge tablets after each use.
- Run simulation software and assist in report generation.
- Maintain and track inventory of materials and supplies; communicate needs to the Experiential Learning Manager.
- Communicate regularly with the Experiential Learning Manager to anticipate and solve challenges.
- Assist in collecting feedback and completing post-simulation administrative tasks.

Qualifications (required)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Prior experience working with youth, volunteers, or in a customer-facing role preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups (especially students and volunteers).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with databases (e.g., Blackbaud) is a plus.
- A proactive, self-starting team player.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand or move for extended periods, and work in a simulation environment.
- Must pass civil, criminal, and motor vehicle background checks, and drug screening.
