More Than a Career Fair

JA Inspire is a statewide career exploration experience for students ages 13 to 25, bringing together Nevada's business community and local schools to help teens and young adults take a meaningful step toward their future. Whether that means selecting the right high school courses, planning for college, or entering the workforce, JA Inspire meets students at the moment those decisions matter most. The program is built around three segments: pre-event career-oriented sessions, the JA Inspire event itself, and a post-event reflection.

Before the Event: Career Readiness Sessions
Students do not arrive at JA Inspire without preparation. Before attending, students complete a career readiness curriculum that includes a skills and interest assessment. Through this process, they identify their strengths, explore the 16 nationally recognized career clusters, and begin connecting who they are to what they might do. They arrive at the event already knowing where to start.

The Virtual Event: Statewide Access on VFairs

JA Inspire's virtual career fair is hosted on the VFairs platform and is available to students across the entire state of Nevada, in both Southern and Northern Nevada. The virtual fair features beautifully designed, custom booths representing businesses and organizations across the 16 career clusters, including industries and employers from throughout the state.
Each booth is developed by the business itself, just like an in-person fair, and includes career information, company videos, downloadable resources, and more. Students can explore freely, visiting booths within the career cluster identified through their assessment or following their curiosity into other industries. Every booth they visit allows them to collect materials directly into a virtual swag bag, a personal digital collection of career resources they can revisit, share with a teacher, or take home.
Students can also attend live and recorded presentations inside the virtual Auditorium for direct exposure to industry professionals and career pathways. The platform can be accessed from school or from home, on a student's own schedule. There are no live chats or open speaker interactions, making it a completely safe environment for students of all ages.
For sponsors and vendors, the virtual platform means your booth, your brand, and your career opportunities reach students across the entire state of Nevada in one investment.

The In-Person Event: Southern Nevada at UNLV
Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada hosts its in-person career fair at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in partnership with the UNLV Early Admissions team. This partnership makes the Southern Nevada experience uniquely powerful. Students do not just attend a career fair. They step onto a college campus.
In addition to the expo hall, where students interact face to face with representatives from companies and organizations across Southern Nevada's key industries, students participate in Fireside chats focused on planning for their future and have the opportunity to tour the UNLV campus. The combination of employer engagement, college access, and future planning in a single experience is what sets the Southern Nevada event apart.

Northern Nevada also hosts its own in-person career fair dates and locations separate from JASN, ensuring students across the state have access to a regional in-person experience as well.
For businesses participating in person, this is a direct opportunity to introduce your company to motivated young people at exactly the moment they are making decisions about their future. Your presence, your story, and your engagement in this space can genuinely change the direction of a student's life.

After the Event: Reflection and Next Steps

Once students have experienced the fair, they complete a structured post-event reflection that helps them process what they learned and connect it to real decisions. What industries stood out? What careers align with their assessment results? What steps can they take now to move in that direction?

For Businesses and Community Sponsors
JA Inspire offers something most programs cannot: statewide reach with meaningful local impact. Through the VFairs virtual platform, your company is visible to students across all of Nevada. Through the in-person events, you have a face-to-face moment with the students in your own backyard who will one day be entering your workforce.
Whether you participate virtually, in person, or both, you are putting your company in front of thousands of students who are actively exploring their futures and beginning to make the decisions that will shape them.

Your booth, your team, and your story have the power to shape what a student believes is possible for themselves. That is not a marketing opportunity. That is a legacy.
